Why did Facebook shut down it's very own AI Project- The ChatBots- FutureDen

Once  I said to one of my teacher that, "If  there is anything that would bring facebook's stardom down is Artificial Intelligence."

And today, as i write this blog i think the founding stone has been laid by Facebook itself. As they shut down their chat bots(AI project) after things getting really "Messy". Recently Elon Musk also said that Mark Zuckerberg has a very limited knowledge on AI, this statement was passed days before the shutdown of this project.

It has been reported that the AI developed it's own language from scratch which was way above human interpretation. Because this action the AI had to shutdown immediately, otherwise a human-robo war would have been a no surprise to me (Sorry for exaggeration). According to report from Tech Times the AI did not go onto something large scale chaos rather they developed a language for communication that only the AI could understand. As a consequence, Facebook AI researchers had to shut down the programme of these Chat Bots completely to avoid any further mishaps.

While enhancing and developing this AI project the bots became so intelligent that they were able to derive their own language which was not only efficient but also made them top notch negotiators as well. As written by Gadgets 360,

Using machine learning algorithms, the "dialogue agents" were left to converse freely in an attempt to strengthen their conversational skills. The researchers also found these bots to be "incredibly crafty negotiators".Moreover, it has also been reported that after a lot of research on the matter by Facebook AI Research Lab (FAIR) it has been found out that the language somehow looked like broken english. It looked like broken english because they wanted to communicate more efficiently. This is supported by the fact that the chatbots were based on machine learning, which is a program improving itself on its own without the creator to write any code. And this what happened in this case. The Chat Bots improved their selves and also became the creators! WTF?

"After learning to negotiate, the bots relied on machine learning and advanced strategies in an attempt to improve the outcome of these negotiations," the report said.

"Over time, the bots became quite skilled at it and even began feigning interest in one item in order to 'sacrifice' it at a later stage in the negotiation as a faux compromise," it added.
As Stepehen Hawking said,"Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, could be superseded by AI."
It is that time where we do a lot of research before developing anything because with the advancement of technology if anything happens that will not be like flappy bird or any other app that could be shutdown easily if it gets on the wrong way it will be no less than utmost destruction to this civilisation!
